There is quite a large Chinese community here in Panama. Every year they have a big celebration for Chinese New Year. It was a neat experience. Before the festivities actually begin they wake up the Lion by painting his eyes. Once they are finished he (they) wake up (see the picture of the three lions) and begin to dance. The yellow/pink lion did an amazing dance jumping from pole to pole fairly high up. Gianna had the best seat up on top of Tio Luipi's shoulders.
